Birthday Then and Now

Here is the picture of my 20Th birthday. Doug and Lindsay did a great job with the soccer ball cake.
Here I am 12 years later. Now I have a son to help me blow out the candles and anther one to make bunny ears.
Finally my own Rough Rider shirt. I will wear it proudly.

A lot has happened since my 20Th birthday and I can honestly say that I wouldn't change a thing.

Kid's Carnival

Our church put on a kids carnival as part of an outreach to the community. We had nice weather and a great turn out.
Brandon with Daisy the clown (Amanda)
The boys got to go for a ride on a horse. It was the first time for all of them. Brandon is picking his nose while riding. I'm not sure I could multi-task like that.

Eight is Great.

Anson had a birthday this weekend. We had a party with family and a friend party for him. This year only a couple of friends came which was nice.
Doug and his friend Bryan took the boys out for a quad ride.
Grandma made a soccer cake for the family party. For my 19Th birthday (I think) Doug made me a soccer cake. I'll have to try and find the picture so I can share it.

Anson is a great kid. He works hard, but knows how to have fun and is a joy to have around. I love him very much.

Callaway Park

In August we took our first ever family vacation. We had gone on trips before but it was always to visit extended family.

The start of our vacation we did stay at my sister's house and then they came along to Callaway Park. We had a great time together. The next morning when we had gone our own ways, Brandon asked where his cousins were I told him that they had gone home to which he replied. "Oh....I want them."

The boys loved going on the rides, and even went on the biggest rollar coaster there, and it was cheaper than going to the fair that comes to town once a year.
Anyway our vacation was great. More to come....

That time of year again

This summer went by so quickly, it is hard to believe that the boys are back at school. This summer when I was working Anson and Cameron went to a kids program that was at the school. So we basically had the same routine as when they are in school which was kind of nice. I was able to have some time off work and we took a family trip (I'll get to posting on that yet) and I was able to have time with them at home.

Anson's first day of grade three. He seemed less nervous then he usually is on his first day. Maybe because he knows all the kids in his class.
Cameron's first day of grade two. He is my little social butterfly and just loves going to school.
